SHOULD WE INCREASE FINES AND CRIMINAL LAWS TO MAKE IT A FELONY TO HIRE AN ILLEGAL WORKER?

Wouldn’t this be a single of the most appropriate ways to get companies to comply. Million dollar fines as well as time in prison would remonstrate most not to sinecure illegals. I theory the Right would consider this is OK or would they? Once there is no jobs for illegals most would not come here as well as most would go behind willingly!
I am not anti-immigrant during all, though nobody though nobody should come here illegal.Period! The limit cannot be effectively sealed to stop them so if the jobs have been not here they will not come. My grand relatives were immigrants–legal ones who came here to get out of misery so I do assimilate their predicament though it is not an forgive to mangle the law~

You have accidentally stumbled onto a great idea.

They come here for jobs. If jobs aren’t available to them, they won’t come. Simple.

since us republicans benefit from cheap labor, most of us republicans refuse to take a stand

Good idea.

not unless some one is there to enforce the laws that are in the books now. some just come here for the free welfare

Million dollar fines would be too much, but jail time is OK, and a better deterrent.

I agree with you. This is rare occasion.

No, if I need some workers to do my farm work then who will I hire. I aint paying no minimum wage and we do not have slavery anymore–too bad!

Paladin August 30, 2011 at 6:22 am

we tried something like that here in Arizona, we had to move on to additional methods

Jen August 30, 2011 at 7:13 am

Of course, it would. This takes adequate enforcement, but this type of systematic oversight is indeed improving.

They are the reason why illegal immigrants come here . That and wealthy people (many who tend to vote Republican) hire as maids grounds keepers nannies etc .
If people do not like illegal immigrants then go to the source and punish them .
So yes I would agree 100%
edit – illegal immigrants keep a very low profile so obviously they do not apply for welfare – least they be deported .

No,A heavily fortified border would be best.
You still have the ones that do noting but run drugs and form street gangs.
have you forgot about the members of the notorious street gang called Ms13?
The ones that work are really not my concern,it’s the ones who don’t and want to do nothing but commit crimes.

Nathaniel August 30, 2011 at 8:57 am

Your prescribed penalties are a bit severe for a first conviction, but you are on the right track. First, get control of the border & remove the exploitation that draws people to enter the country ILLEGALLY. Then reform the system to encourage LEGAL immigration with proper screening for criminal records, contagious diseases, and ties to terrorist organizations.

Ask yourself this: You have 3 children and a husband/wife and parents to support and live in a third world country. Your job pays $3.00 an hour or day (depending on country), and your house is a shed. Would you not want your family to have a better life in America? Shame on you! You are no American. Unless your family is full-blooded American Indian shut up! Your family came here for a better life!!! And now you have the freedom to bitch on the internet.

Sadly mos tpeople wouyld like to see this, but none of our politicians will ever enact such legislation as long as they remain the pay of the corporatocracy
