WHAT STOPS THE LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE FROM SPONTANEOUSLY CHANGING?

Or both star as well as the laws from disintegrating exactly 10 mins from now?

Guess that’s why they call them LAWS.

Guess you don’t know the concept of scientific laws.

We don’t know what causes the laws to be true in the first place and really have no idea how long they will hold up. I do think it’s reasonable to believe that they won’t change.

Logic mostly. If your car is red, how often do you concern yourself that it may be yellow next time you leave the house due to a shift in the frequency of photons in the electromagnetic spectrum?

It hasn’t changed in 13.7 billion years so it would seem kind of impudent of the universe to change at this short notice!

Now if we had proof in the cosmos that such alterations occurred, then certainly we would prepare to face the unexpected! But as we gaze across the cosmos and back in time, we see a primeval universe that worked on identical principles to now. Indeed no physical records in the solar system show any signs of altered principles either. Besides, I doubt life could arise in such an unstable fruit machine of laws.

I mean, it could happen for the first time in 10 minutes, and no one will be expecting it, but I shall not trouble myself over such a notion.

Dunno, very interesting question though. Got me making some very entertaining speculations :P

I really don’t know. Possibly there is nothing out there to change them.

But why ask this? The laws of the universe have never, to our knowledge, changed spontaneously or disappeared, so why speculate that they might? What prompts the notion that this is something deserving of consideration?

Absolute consciousness,
I believe,
the universe is just the manifestation of the will of the absolute consciousness
and is well governed by it.
