MY EMPLOYER IS TAKING MY CO-WORKER AND I ON A BUSINESS TRIP FROM NY TO LA. WHAT ARE THE PROPER LAWS?

My employer is receiving caring of roving losses (flight as well as road house room). Are there any alternative factors to this question. Also you need to buy suits. We get payed 10 an hour in the normal workplace.

Laws about what? Your employer is paying expenses so what’s the problem? TRavel time is usually not paid time for hourly employees unless you have a contract that provides for that.

You can’t kill anyone in LA.
You must drive the posted speed limit.
Robbing a bank is out of the question.
And pretty much all the same laws you have in NY.

Don’t worry about the trip. He’s taking care of expenses. Just bring some spending money for yourself (entertainment, souvenirs, etc.). And a suit is the proper way to travel if your business requires it.

If you are of legal age to consent there are no laws governing the trip. Sexual misconduct while in California would raise problems, Mann act: taking a women across state lines for sexual reasons the way I understand the law.

If the trip requires you to dress in a suit and tie then you have to abide that. Employers can dictate a dress code.

Your employer should give you both a per diem to cover meals and incidental expenses. If you want to go out and have fun, then you can take that out of your per diem or use you own money. Depending on where you are going, $25 – $35 for a per diem is normal unless your boss is going to pay for your meals too.
