WHAT IS COVERED BY MUSIC COPYRIGHT LAWS FOR USING MUSIC FOR A NON PROFIT THINGS.?

Say I longed for to have as good as tell ( similar to upon youtube or something) A video of people possibly singing or mouth sync-ing good well known songs. Say something prolonged as good as involed, as prolonged as I’m not offered it for the distinction as good as it’s only for fun as good as I do not explain the things as my own, I am not violation any copyright laws am i?

I don’t think so. Otherwise, playing songs at school assemblies or dances would be illegal.

Soccerplayer, that’s incorrect. If a school is playing copyrighted songs in school assemblies without a license, then that is copyright infringement. How do you know the school doesn’t have a license?

Regarding your question Becki, it is copyright infringement to post videos people singing and lip syncing copyrighted songs. Profit is irrelevant with regards to a copyright infringement determination. As a practical matter, however, in most cases the worst that will happen is that the copyright owner will simply request that Youtube take down the video. That said, no one can predict what a copyright owner will do.
