I agree with Golden – two victimless “crimes” and before all the righteous bring on the thumbs downs, both would be windfalls for the economy.

Marijuana: Face it, smokers are gonna smoke it, legal or not. They spend billions on it every year that goes right into the black market’s pockets. If legalized, it would have to be grown, cultivated, processed and packaged – this all equals jobs and tax revenue. It could be sold and controlled just like alcohol ( a far more destructive substance) – taxed and restricted to adults. More revenue from taxes (it will still be cheaper than what they pay on the black market). It would free up countless jail cells and court time saving even more money – and screw the nonsense that it will lead our children down the path to hell – it’s easier for a kid to score a bag of weed than a bottle of booze. Obama said in one of his long winded speeches that “we will NOT grow our economy” – uh, where does wheat, corn, fruits and vegetables come from ?

Prostitution: The world’s oldest profession, like marijuana, take it off the streets and control it – seems to working out okay in Nevada – the women are not forced into it, there are no minors involved and they pay taxes just like any other business. No pimps, no drug abuse and they get health care – if I were a desirable woman, I’d be selling it in a heartbeat and making a lot of money.
